- Friday, 4 September 2026 · 18 Bhadro 1433
- Krishna Ashtami: 4 Sep 2:25 am to 5 Sep 12:13 am
- Ashtami at midnight

## How the day is chosen

Krishna Ashtami of Srabon (Bhadra where months end at the full moon). The day whose midnight holds the Ashtami; if both or neither do, the later day.

Traditional (Surya Siddhanta) panjikas, such as Gupta Press and Beni Madhab Sil, can differ in tithi times by hours, so in some years the day differs too. Their dates will appear here side by side once that school has been checked against a full printed year.

Tithi times are for Kolkata, in Indian Standard Time. Panjikas give Kolkata’s festival days for all of West Bengal. [Why another panjika may differ](https://ritupatra.app/support#en)
