How the day is chosen
Shukla Dwitiya of Kartik (Bhratri Dwitiya). The day whose fifth eighth of daytime, just after midday, holds the Dwitiya; if both or neither do, the later day (Tithitattva).
Traditional (Surya Siddhanta) panjikas, such as Gupta Press and Beni Madhab Sil, can differ in tithi times by hours, so in some years the day differs too. Their dates will appear here side by side once that school has been checked against a full printed year.
